Art Imitates Life
There is an old saying, and a good one, that Truth is stranger than fiction. After all, how can the limited uses of our brain ever possibly conceive of the unlimited magnificence of Creation? They cannot; and even as we learn more about the Cosmos – both its inconceivable vastness and its infinitesimal detail – we are ever more amazed and awed.
And in coming to terms with this concept, perhaps the most sublime of all realizations is that there is nothing indivisible from The Whole. This is the ethos behind all great spiritual truths. We are all inter-connected. Nothing can happen without it having an effect elsewhere.
In other words, we are all influenced by actions beyond our control or immediate knowledge. There is a great universal Intelligence and we can all tap into it, or else be fed by it, depending on how much we open our own minds as receptors.
And yet it is a truth easily overlooked. There is perhaps no more obvious example of this than with the science fiction movies regarding inter-galactic space. Nothing captures our imagination more than these Hollywood blockbusters, from Star Trek to Avatar to Star Wars. We simply love them more than any other genre, and yet at the same time we accept it all far too easily and simply as “science fiction”.
However, as the great Yogi Adept Dr. George King has pointed out, there is no such thing as “pure fiction”. Everything has a basis, somehow or somewhere, in truth. And so it is for these tales that so capture and influence not just our imagination but our culture.
So, to answer the obvious question ‘Where is the basis for these inter-galactic wars?’ the answer can actually be found right here on Earth. But there is a proviso – there’s always a proviso; you need to genuinely seek in order to genuinely find. But then that’s just another of the great Spiritual Laws…
This coming Friday, January 22nd, will mark the fiftieth anniversary of the end of one such inter-galactic conflict between Good and Evil that, for the previous eight months, had been waged in the lower astral realms of this Earth.
It was a war, unbeknown at the time to all but a virtual handful of terrestrials, that was fought by a literal handful of Interplanetary Adepts, three of Whom inhabited terrestrial bodies, the other two coming to Their aid during the height of the conflict. This war, known as “The Alien Mission”, had its roots in the far and distant past when an alien android settled itself into the hells of Earth where it remained dormant for millennia awaiting its exact moment to strike. And that time was now, triggered into action by the no less real Primary Initiation of Earth which took place on July 8th, 1964. The immensity of this Cosmic Initiation – the most significant in the whole history of this planet – aroused this alien android and stirred it into life.
The Three Adepts first learned of the alien in what was a “routine sortie” into the lower astral realms on May 12th, 1965. Right at the end of that action, as They were preparing to return to their physical bodies, They detected something far more menacing. We know of these things for one reason alone; that is Dr. George King’s remarkable ability – as an Adept in his own right – to enter what we call a “positive yogic samadhic trance” when other interplanetary Masters were able to communicate through him. The Aetherius Society is built and stands upon these Cosmic Transmissions in which the proof of the pudding is very much in the eating. But that is another story. Here we are to put out the real whys and wherefores of the far greater truths which not only underlie our most popular fiction but which have their origins right before us, albeit hiding in plain view.
The Alien Mission lasted for 27 phases with the alien being evicted from Earth on October 26th, 1965 during the conflict.
The event was fully reported by the Cosmic Master Aetherius through Dr. King as it unfolded. These reel-to-reel tapes are kept in vaults although, for the sake of posterity, they have been digitized in recent years. They have only been played twice before, in 1989 and 2004. They will be played again to a select audience later this year in honor of this 50th anniversary.
Dr. King spoke about the conflict in a lecture he gave in England in 1974, called “The Cosmic Plan” during which he said the following about the alien:
“It was not destroyed, not killed, because it was un-killable… It was the result of a science which is just colossal… That it came from outside of the galaxy, we know. Before The Alien Mission was over there were reports of something like 100,000 attacks on different parts of this galaxy by similar alien beings. Most of these attacks were thrown off. Of course, Earth hadn’t the brains to deal with even one android never mind an attacking spacecraft full. So it was left to The Adepts to do it for you…”
“Not only had Earth been saved, and the whole of mankind been saved, from complete and absolute mental slavery, because the alien would not have killed you. He would have enslaved you. Here was one entity with thought capabilities the like of which were astounding…”
It is this kind of metaphysical truth out of which all great epic and even biblical stories are made. We can find them out in so far as our conscience and intellect direct us. But if we find ourselves less anxious to know these things, let us at least discern that there is no smoke without fire, even when that smoke appears to be totally imaginary.
Afterword – Speaking of movies…
The late movie critic, Roger Ebert, the day before he died shared the following observation with his wife, Chaz, as she here recalls:
“The one thing people might be surprised about – Roger said that he didn’t know if he could believe in God. He had his doubts. But toward the end, something really interesting happened. That week before Roger passed away, I would see him and he would talk about having visited this other place. I thought he was hallucinating. I thought they were giving him too much medication. But the day before he passed away, he wrote me a note: ‘This is all an elaborate hoax.’ I asked him, ‘What’s a hoax?’ And he was talking about this world, this place. He said it was all an illusion. I thought he was just confused. But he was not confused. He wasn’t visiting heaven, not the way we think of heaven. He described it as a vastness that you can’t even imagine. It was a place where the past, present, and future were happening all at once.”
We’ll say it again; Truth is stranger than fiction… It just remains our job to go find it.
